The Church has to come together, let us sit down and talk about the completion of the national cathedral – Bawumia

Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has asked the government and the Church to work more closely together in order to find a way forward as regards completion of the National Cathedral.

He indicated that cooperation between the two parties will improve attempts to raise the funds required to finish the project. In answer to a query during yesterday’s meeting with the clergy in Accra, Dr. Bawumia stated that the Church has to unite and “let us know the best way forward and how we can even get private resources to help us complete the cathedral.”

“I personally contributed to the construction of the national cathedral.” I think it’s a really significant project for the country.

“As it stands now the Church has to come together and let us sit down and talk about the way forward for the national cathedral,” he added.

In order to involve the people of Achimota in the Okaikwei North Constituency, the Lapaz Market, and NPP officials, Dr. Bawumia will also start a door-to-door campaign.
